This photo shows an adult of Chrysoperla sinica (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) foraging on Erigeron annuus (Asteraceae) flowers. Chrysoperla sinica is an important natural enemy, its larvae prey on such agricultural pests as aphids and mites, and adults feed on pollen and nectar of plants as nutritional supplements. A study on the effects of maternal overwintering experience on offspring development and reproduction in Chrysoperla sinica (Neuroptera: Chrysopidae) was reported in the 5th issue (pp. 553-561) of 2017 of this journal.
