Revision of Chinese species of the genus Gibbotettix Zheng (Orthoptera: Cladonotidae)

Abstract

Abstract: This paper revises the taxonomy of Chinese members of the genus Gibbotettix Zheng. Seven species are reported, in which two are described as new to science:G. circinihumerus sp.nov.and G. hupingshanensis sp.nov. One new combination is proposed: Gibbotettix cristata (Liang,1995), comb. Nov. For Austrochancockia cristata Liang, 1995. A key is provided for identifying species of Gibbotettix Zheng. Type specimens are kept in the institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and College of Life Sciences, Hunan Normal University.
