Prokaryotic expression and ligand binding characteristics of odorant binding protein MmedOBP18 of the parasitoid wasp Microplitis mediator (Hymenoptera: Braconidae)

Abstract: Aim To clarify the expression of the odorant binding protein MmedOBP18 inthe antenna of Microplitis mediator, and to investigate the ligand binding characteristics of the recombinant MmedOBP18. Methods The recombinant MmedOBP18 of M. mediator was expressed in the prokaryotic expression system. The localization of expression of MmedOBP18 inthe antenna of female wasps of M. mediator was evaluated using fluorescence immunohistochemistry assay.
