Abstract: This paper deals with the cytotaxonomy of genera Pseutdoxya, Oxyaand Caryands studied by C-banding and Ag-banding methods. The results show that these three genera have some common feature in the C-band distribution and conventional karyotype, indicating their close relationship. However, there are still some differences among the three genera in C-band distribution and NOR localization, showing their specialied aspects, the cytotaxonomic relationship among them and the taxonomic significance of chromosomal banding methods are discussed.
